Grand March & Dance

The Graduation Social will be starting at 5:00 PM. It is a time for the Graduates and their guests to gather at G.W Harris and to socialize with one another (no tickets required). While there is no formal programming for this part of the day, there will be a few photobooth-style spaces to utilize for pictures. We also encourage your party to take advantage of the beautiful grounds surrounding the GW Harris for more photo opportunities.
At 5:30 PM we will open the doors to the Performance Gymnasium where the Grand March will take place. There are no tickets required for this event. Guests are encouraged to get seats early, as it is first come first served. Additional standing space will be available around the track upstairs.

The grand march is a time for graduating students to walk all dressed up with a partner or small group in front of parents, guardians, and other family members.
Only LTCHS 2024 Graduates can participate in the Grand March
The Grand March will start promptly at 6:00 PM and is for Graduates only. Students must be in Builder’s Hall (at GW Harris) at 5:30 PM to get lined up for the March. It is an optional event on graduation day and serves as an opportunity for families and guests to see the graduating class of 2024 in their grad attire.
Photos: We will have a school photographer capturing the grads as they cross the stage. We would ask that all guests remain seated for the entirety of the Grand March in order to not disrupt the flow of those participating in it, and show support for all of our graduating class.

A formal dance will commence immediately after the grand march in the GW Harris Arena.
Parents, guardians, and other Grand March spectators will be asked to leave for the duration of the dance
The prom is taking place in the arena from 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm. Graduates receive free entry and do not require a ticket to attend. Once the prom has started, attendees will not be allowed to leave and re-enter the GW Harris building.
The Prom portion of the evening is for graduates and their prom guests only (if they choose to bring one). Grads will need to fill in the guest request form which can be found at the bookstore and the main office if they would like to bring someone. Please note, that guests are required to be current high school students in Central Alberta and be approved by the administration. Forms must be filled in and returned before May 16th to Dr. Rawlusyk, and once approved, the graduate will then be able to purchase a prom ticket for their guest for $20 from the Bookstore.
