Graduation Ceremonies

Location: Red Deer Polytechnic

Two Ceremonies: 9:00 AM & 11:30 AM
Wristbands to attend the ceremony available for pick up at the bookstore April 29 (limit 8 per grad). Wrist bands MUST be picked up by Thursday, May 9th at 12:30 PM. Unfortunately, both ceremonies are full therefore, there will be no extra tickets handed out.
Students will arrive 30 minutes prior to their ceremony time and enter through the “Grad Entrance”. There will be signs and staff members showing graduates where to go, as well as it is noted on the attached map. Guests will enter through the main GW Harris doors (refer to map); please have your wristbands on prior to arriving at the ceremony so we can load into the ceremony space smoothly. Guests without a wristband will not be permitted to enter the main floor. There will be no exceptions to this, and we thank you in advance for your understanding. Guests without a wristband will be asked to go to the second-floor track entrance (elevator access is provided). Please refer to the map if you need accessible seating.

Grad Gowns

Grad Gown Pick Up is May 15 from the Main Staff Room. We encourage families to take and photos prior to the ceremony and it is mandatory for grad gowns to be returned immediately after the ceremony is finished.

Parking

Parking is free. Please park in lots M, N and Q. Refer to the maps.

If your graduate is in the 9:00 AM ceremony, please vacate the premises in a timely manner to allow for the second ceremony guests.

Lifetouch Commencement Photos

Lifetouch Photography will be taking pictures of our graduates receiving their diplomas.
The photos will be available online 3-4 weeks after the event.
