All of my notes will be posted daily in my Google Classroom but here is a little about me.

I was born and raised in a little town (Isle aux Morts) on the Southwest Coast of Newfoundland. There are only 600 permanent residents there now but if you ever get a chance to visit this part of the country you will really enjoy it. My front lawn extends right to the Atlantic Ocean!

I convocated from Memorial University of Newfoundland (MUN) in 1996 and immediately moved to Lloydminster. While I lived on the Alberta side of this border city, I worked for the Saskatchewan School Board. I spent the first 11 years of my teaching career here and I have maintained many of those relationships over the years. A few veteran teachers took me under their wing and showed me the ropes. Both of my children were born in Lloydminster so it will always be a special place to our family.

In 2007, my husband had a great job opportunity in Red Deer and that is how I ended up employed by RDPSD. I started at Hunting Hills in January 2008 and I have been here ever since. I work with the most amazing group of individuals, from the custodians to the students to the administration. I absolutely love coming to work and I feel truly blessed to be a part of this staff.

When I am not working on school work, I love to just hang out with my family. The Red Deer Trail System is phenomenal and I spend a lot of my free time walking, running, skiing, and biking on the trails. I also like to work out. I love hanging out at home too catching up on my recorded TV programs or reading.
