Red Deer Public School Division Transportation Fee Schedule

Charter (Yellow) Bus Rider fees: All K-5 (not Aspen Heights), Gateway, Escuella Vist Grande, West Park Middle, Normandeau, and Glendale

Regular & Alternative Programs: Late fees will be incurred for applications not received at the school by June 24th ( unless you moved into the catchment area after that date).

Transportation Fee Waiver:  

WAIVER COVERS:  Transportation fees for ELIGIBLE students only that are in Grades K-5 and between 1.6 kms and 2.4 kms from their DESIGNATED school. The waiver is meant to help families that are facing financial hardship. Waivers must be approved by School administration. Any current school year Transportation Fees that you have paid will be refunded at your request by the school upon approval of this waiver form.  

WAIVER DOES NOT COVER:  Ineligible grade K-5 students less than 1.6 km from DESIGNATED school, and all Grade 6-12 students.

Transportation Fee Waiver Form 

FEE COLLECTION POLICY starting in 2022/23 school year: It is preferable that all transportation fees are paid in full at the time the application is submitted and the fee appears on the students account. If a family needs to make payments to help with the fees, there are guidelines that will need to be adhered to. A student will not have access to the bus if these conditions cannot be met.

$300 ineligible fee: $150 paid at time of application before a student can ride and $30/month from Oct 1st to Feb 1st. Fees are prorated for the months used.

$150 eligible fee: $30/ month from Sept 1st to Jan 1st. The first payment must be made before the student can ride. Fees are prorated for the months used.
