Young Writers' and Creators' Conference

Young Writers' and Creators' Conference 2024

April 26, 2024

École Oriole Park is honored to be home to an amazing event for budding young writers and creators!  We have been host to the Annual Young Writers' and Creators' Conference for over 30 years!  Notwithstanding the interruption in the COVID pandemic years, we are thrilled to have the Conference up and running again for it's 33rd year!

Grade 4, 5, and 6 students from across Red Deer Public Schools will be invited to participate in a day filled with amazing authors, writers, artists, and creators!  This year's lOP%20Bird.jpgine-up of presenters comes from a variety of backgrounds, experiences, and expertise and we are absolutely thrilled to be able to share this with the students in our Division.  It is events like this that can influence and inspire our students to achieve great things in areas they never knew existed or with skills they recently discovered!

Here is the Student Information & Invitation Sheet summarizing the day & the process to register & pay

Please have a look at the line up of presenters by following this link to our Workshop Sessions & Descriptions.

Here is the Student Registration form (to be filled out by parents & students together after being invited by the School's Grade 4, 5, &/or 6 Homeroom Teachers)

$30 Fee MUST BE PAID by April 18, 2024 or the spot will be offered to another student.  Limit of 275 student registrants for the day.  Please pay through your Parent Power School Portal (instructions here if you need help)
