At West Park Elementary School, we are focussed on the academic and personal success of each of our students. To help students achieve this success, we create a safe and caring environment.  

We hold high expectations for the academic success of our students. We differentiate instruction to best meet the needs of our students.  We support their learning with universal and targeted supports.

Our students learn important life skills by learning the "West Park Ways" and developing a growth mindset. They learn guidelines and strategies for being Respectful, Responsible and Resilient, in class, and during large group health times. This is called PAWS: Positive Attitude + Work = Success.  Teaching these skills promotes perseverance, self-motivation, and self-regulation in our children.

We value the school and parent partnership, and this is key to the success of our students.  Volunteers are invited to be an active part of our school community; a member of our School Council, START (Students, Teachers, Adults Reading Together) reader, hot lunch program, among others.  We support our families with regular communication, including agendas, newsletters, Remind texts, and our website.
