Fee Collection Policy
Red Deer Public Schools has established a fee collection policy for transportation services to ensure smooth operations. Here are the key points:
- Payment Timeline: It is preferable that all transportation fees are paid in full either by the first day of school or at the time the application is submitted during the school year. The fee should be reflected on the parent's Powerschool account to ensure access to bus services.
- Payment Guidelines: If a family needs to make payments in installments to manage the fees, specific guidelines must be followed. These guidelines are designed to facilitate manageable payments while ensuring compliance with fee obligations.
- Access to Bus Services: A student will not be allowed access to the bus if these payment conditions cannot be met. It is essential for families to adhere to the fee collection policy to maintain uninterrupted transportation services for their child.
For further details on payment options or to discuss specific circumstances, please contact the attending school.
$300 ineligible fee: $150 paid at time of application before a student can ride and $30/month from Oct 1st to Feb 1st. Fees are prorated for the months used. Families with ineligible students, cannot chose to just ride during the cold months. Fees will be calculated from the first month riding to the end of June.
