Hello everyone,

I am very happy to welcome our students and families to Central Middle School for the 2023-24 school year! I can't wait to start an exciting year of learning & growth, with a return to all of our awesome activities, clubs and athletics that make Central a great place to be.

This upcoming year will be my seventh year as part of the Central Middle School community. I taught at Normandeau School for over seven years before finding my way to my current home. It's been a career of teaching all three middle grades, and it's been a great experience!

I am currently the Vice Principal for our Grade 6 students and Learning Team at Central. Should you have any questions about the first year of middle school at Central, please don't hesitate to contact me. It is also my honour to serve as a teacher for some of our students in the fields of Social Studies. We have opportunities every day for our students to learn, grow and contribute to Central.

I am a strong advocate for students and a believer in a middle school philosophy of inclusion where every student can find success in his or her own way. We have an incredibly diverse group of students in our English, French Immersion and English Language Learner (ELL) Programs; one of the most unique mixes in the city. My number one concern is that our students feel happy and safe at our school, and are constantly seeking to learn and achieve excellence. I am very proud of our high academic standards, our music, arts, CTS and athletic programs, as well as our extra-curricular clubs at Central. Opportunities await all of our students in areas they thrive in or strive to experience first hand in middle school.
