Bev Manning became a trustee in 1995.
Bev comes from a family that values education. Her mother's career in teaching provided her with a first hand perspective on how important lifelong learning is. She also came to understand how valuable the profession of teaching is, and learned to appreciate the lengths that teachers go to to ensure that students learn.
Bev is married to John Manning and they have three daughters and five grandchildren.
In addition to being a trustee, Bev has worked as a graphic designer for the past 18 years.
Bev believes that it is our responsibility to nurture and help each student grow to their full potential. She is an advocate for always doing what is in the best interest of the children and families in Red Deer Public Schools.
Bev believes that education is one of the most important gifts we give our children. When her own children entered the system, it became clear to her just how important it was. With the encouragement of others, Bev was compelled to respond and become involved. She is motivated to serve the children of the district and help make Red Deer Public Schools the best they can be.
“Nothing ... absolutely nothing happens in education, until it happens to a child.”
