Remember back in school when….

Foundation supports those “Oh Yah!” moments

Think back to when you were in school.  What were the things you remember most?  While the lessons and the 3R’s were most important, for many, it’s the special events and activities that provide enduring memories, and may have had a profound influence or impact.

The Foundation strives to create those kinds of memories by providing funds that that enhance and enrich learning opportunities for all students in Red Deer Public Schools.

• Each year, the Foundation funds $50,000 in projects that are “Above and Beyond for Children”
• The Foundation organizes a major project that impacts several schools and thousands of students.  This year we hosted “Rachel’s Challenge” for more than 6000 students who heard a powerful message of caring and acceptance of one another.
• We support major events in the District including the Dawe Run, Cross Country Ski Loppet, Student Leadership Conference, Choir Kids and Young Writers Conference.
• We host the “Striving for Excellence Dinner” that recognized 175 students each year who demonstrate excellence in a wide range of areas
• We support school fundraising through charitable donations

All of this is made possible thanks to the outstanding support of individuals and organizations committed to children and youth in our community.
