Recognizing Red Deer Public Students Striving for Excellence in all their Endeavors
It is important for our community to recognize, applaud and value young people who strive for excellence in everything they do. On behalf of The Foundation, we are pleased to announce that the 14th Annual Striving for Excellence Dinner will take place on Thursday, May 19, 2011 at 6:00 pm. With more than 700 guests attending, this is a valued celebration of the excellence achieved by over 175 students, who along with their families will enjoy a special evening, all at no cost to them, thanks to the tremendous support we receive from the community.
For this year’s Dinner, we are pleased to present Hannah Taylor, an advocate for the homeless and founder of The Ladybug Foundation, which helps raise funds to assist charitable organizations which provide food, shelter and other needs of the homeless and near homeless. Her message will inspire students to realize that anyone can make a difference.
In addition to last year’s Striving for Excellence Dinner, support from donors helped The Foundation invest over $50,000 in projects that enhanced learning for students in Red Deer Public Schools.
We welcome your involvement as a sponsor for the Dinner. Your sponsorship helps to make this a truly special and memorable event for students and their families. We welcome and value your participation of this worthwhile community cause for students.
