The announcement of a new elementary school opening in Timberlands in September 2014, means Red Deer Public Schools has begun important discussions on boundary changes that will ensure the efficient and effective use of school facilities.

While the district knows some of the factors that will need to be considered, we wanted to hear the priorities and needs of families and our community before we start to adjust boundaries.  

Our focus is on elementary boundaries which could potentially affect a majority of schools.  Boundary changes would come into effect September 2014.

Phase 1 of the process begain with three community meetings to hear ideas and priorities.  The district will consolidate the comments preseted and post on the website shortly. 

Based on community input, a number of scenarios will be developed and presented for feedback at future community meetings.
