Lawrence has lived in Red Deer for almost his entire life. He has been married to Betty for 20 years and has two daughters within Red Deer Public Schools.  Lawrence believes in the community of Red Deer and the unlimited potential of it's citizens.

 

Lawrence is a partner and senior analyst with ALA Capital. He also serves as a director on the Executive Committee of the Public School Boards’ Association of Alberta, and as the president of the Red Deer and District Chinese Community Society.

 

As a trustee, Lawrence is an advocate for public school education being the “First Choice” for Albertans and where that system of education is grounded on the principles of inclusiveness, local autonomy and civil democracy. 

 

Lawrence’s motivation for pursuing the role of a school board trustee is being able to listen to the people in the community and hearing and seeing their dreams and aspirations for their children.
